  • Remove all tires and inspect for wear and condition
  • Inspect all brakes for material remaining and proper operation
  • Clean out built up brake dust from inside of the rear drums and from self adjusters on rear brakes
  • Inspect drums and rotors for thickness and scoring
  • Install brake drums and adjust brakes as needed to ensure maximum stopping power
  • Inspect emergency brake condition and operation
  • Adjust all tire pressures
  • Road test vehicle to ensure proper braking

This service should be performed every 20,000 km / 12,000 miles or every 12 months.  Your vehicle should be inspected and serviced every twelve months even if you have not met the mileage limits for this service.  Keep in mind that although the brakes may be operating properly now you may save yourself from having to replace the drums or rotors if you are aware or a problem before it is too late.
