ENGINE OIL COOLER LINES

WHAT ARE ENGINE OIL COOLER LINES?

Engine oil cooler lines are what transfer the oil to the front of the vehicle (usually into the radiator) for the purpose of cooling it before taking it back to the engine

How will I know when it's time for replacement?

  • You may notice engine oil leaking under the vehicle.  This fluid is a golden to black color depending on its cleanliness.

  • You may notice a burning smell from under the hood if the line was to leak and allow oil to drip onto the manifold or other hot engine parts.

  • Your vehicle should be inspected for oil and or other fluid leaks every time that it is in for regular service.  This can prevent damage to internal components due to lack of lubrication.

DID YOU KNOW.......

Not having your vehicle inspected for fluid leaks at each service interval can cause damage to internal components due to lack of lubrication.  This is one of the many instances where sub sequential damage may add up to being more than the cost of the original repair.  Have your vehicle inspected for fluid leaks every 3 months / 3,000 miles or 5,000 km when in for regular servicing to ensure your safety as well as avoid any further cost.
