COIL SPRINGS

WHAT ARE COIL SPRINGS?

Coil springs are what support your vehicle on the struts and or shocks.  The coil spring supports the weight of your vehicle to allow proper clearance height

How will I know when it's time for replacement?

  • You may note that a coil spring is broken due to a clunking noise that it will or can make when broken.

  • You may notice that your vehicle seems to have a rougher ride than it did previously.  This can be cause by a coil spring that is sagging or worn out and no longer creating proper ride height.

  • Your coil springs should be inspected every 3 months / 3,000 miles or 5,000 km when your vehicle is in for it's regular oil change.

DID YOU KNOW.......

Not replacing a broken coil spring is likely to cause other suspension components to wear prematurely.  This is one of the many instances where sub sequential damage may add up to being more than the cost of the original repair.  Have your suspension system inspected every 3 months / 3,000 miles or 5,000 km when your vehicle is in for it's regular oil change to ensure your safety as well as avoid any further cost.
