AIR FILTER

WHAT IS AN AIR FILTER?

The air filter is the filter that air passes through before it reaches the engine to be mixed with the fuel for burning

How will I know when it's time for replacement?

  • Your air filter should be inspected at each oil change interval and replaced once it has become plugged

  • In extreme cases an air filter that has become completely plugged can be the cause of a stalling or rough running condition

  • Keeping your air filter cleaned and replaced as needed will create better performance as well as fuel economy.  Have your air filter inspected at each regular service visit when your engine oil is being changed.  This should be every 3 months / 3,000 miles or 5,000 km.

DID YOU KNOW.......

Not replacing your air filter as required can cause rough running, poor fuel economy and even stalling conditions.  An air filter that is plugged or partially plugged can cause damage and ware to other engine components due to the fact that they are unable to perform properly.  Have your air filter inspected every 3 months / 3,000 miles or 5,000 km at each oil change interval to ensure proper performance and fuel economy.
